On the 18th of November I had the honour of shooting the wedding of Karen and Sam at King’s Lynn Town Hall.
We started the day with the girls in the Apartment suite of The Dukes Head in Kings Lynn a 2 minute walk from my Studio on the Tuesday Market place. Its a prime location in the town so makes an ideal venue for getting ready to head of to your wedding. We then moved down from the apartment to the older beautiful part of the hotel for Karen to put on her dress and leave the final look as a big surprise for her bridesmaids and family.
My second shooter Ryan headed to see the boys, I have known Sam and his family most of my life so I knew he would be in safe hands. Sams parents own a lovely house on the river which meant Ryan got his first experience of the West Lynn ferry before stopping for refreshments at The Bank House.
The ceremony was a lovely occasion at the Town Hall in Kings Lynn. Many couples are discovering this ideal location for their weddings and the building itself does not disappoint oozing with local history. The newly renovated gardens and courtyard make an ideal setting for family photos after the ceremony before heading back inside where it was a little warmer to finish up the group shots.
The light was fading so we whisked the couple of to the nearby Quay for some pictures it was chilly but Karen braved the weather like all brides do to get those intimate couple shots.
After the wedding breakfast and the speeches it was Matty the best mans time to give his speech which did not leave a dry eye in the house. A detailed power point presentation followed by a beautiful song from Sams niece Gabriella whilst Matty rocked away on the keyboard it was truly an epic best man speech.
The wedding of Mr and Mrs Garrod was an honour to be a part of and was an amazing day. I wish you both all the best for the future and enjoy this small selection of images from your day.
